M77 aka Norwegian Combat Boots
The M77 is the Norwegian army combat boot: a design developed over ten years for the Norwegian military and still worn by NATO forces today. Samelin makes it in Estonia from thick, water-repellent full-grain leather, to the same NATO AQAP 2110 quality standard it uses for military orders.
This is a boot built to last for years, not a season. Like any heavy leather boot it needs a few weeks of breaking in. Kept greased, the leather stays supple and keeps out wet weather.
Why the M77
- 2.8–3 mm full-grain leather: far thicker than most fashion combat boots.
- Military quality standard: made to NATO AQAP 2110 and ISO 9001 by a factory that supplies NATO armies and has produced for Dr. Martens and Rossignol.
- Comfort for long days: anatomical, shock-absorbing insole that is antibacterial and washable.
- Grip: direct-injected PU outsole.
- Unisex: sizes 32 to 52.
Sizing
The M77 fits large because it is designed to be worn with thick socks. With regular socks, choose one size smaller than usual. For winter, pair it with our M77 thermal inner socks, or choose the M77 Winter Edition with a warm faux fur lining.
