The 424 Ankle Boots, also known as chukka boots, are a slightly formal streetwear option. The upper is made from dyed natural leather, and the sole is crafted from durable, non-slip rubber. The boots have a medium-width fit and are lined with both leather and textile, with added cushioning at the heel for extra comfort. Like all Samelin boots, these are manufactured in Estonia according to NATO quality standards.

Stand on a sheet of paper in the socks you plan to wear, mark your heel and longest toe, and measure the distance in centimetres. Measure both feet and use the longer one.

Fit notes by model

  • Samelin 553P and 5531 hiking boots run large. We recommend one size down from your usual size.
  • Samelin 598 desert boots run slightly large. Sizing down often gives a better fit.
  • Nesna Lobben and Polar Lobben felt boots: buy up to 2 sizes bigger than your normal shoes, especially if you wear thick wool socks.
  • Natural felt slippers mould to your feet and may stretch slightly over time, so choose a snug fit.
